Salzburg is the world famous city of „The Sound Of Music", birthplace of genius composer W.A. Mozart, stage of the international Salzburg Summer Festivals, and perhaps one of the "3 most beautiful cities in the World" (according to historic explorer Alexander von Humboldt). In this walking-tour guided in the heart of the city of Salzburg, we begin in the "New Town", at Mirabell Garden and it's Palace Mirabell.
We'll explore the Old Town, with a view on the Fortress "Hohensalzburg" as a vivid reminder of Salzburg's unique history as an independent church state for centuries. You'll see many well kept historical buildings from medieval to barroque times, and experience & learn more about W.A. Mozart.
And if you're a big music-fan, perhaps by some Salzburg scenery, you would feel like singing a favourite song or two, with your guide. The tour ends on the Mönchsberg Hill to look down the panoramic view on the Old Town with the Fortress.
This city-tour also happens to be a nice (shorter) choice for fans of the movie "The Sound of Music", as you will be led through all the city-places Maria visited with the children (in "curtain clothes").
