Dive into the world of Maria von Trapp
We make our journey partly by walking, and partly by bus beginning in the loveliest garden at the Palace Mirabell where you would remember several scenes of the film "The Sound of Music" (e.g. the song "Do-Re-Mi"). You will find out more about Salzburg's history & culture and be led through all the shooting spots of the film in the (extended) city area.
We'll explore the Old Town with Salzburg's most prominent sights, and finish this part of the tour with a visit up to Monchs Hill. There we enjoy a spectacular view on the city, with the Fortress "Hohensalzburg" from afar as a vivid reminder of Salzburg's unique history as an independent church state for centuries. And perhaps, at some locations you would feel like singing some of your favourite songs - anything that comes to mind - together with your guide.
We will then drive to the suburbs of Salzburg visit Palace Leopoldskron (main shooting location of the film) by taking a walk at it's large pond and on the way we see the old Nonnberg Abbey.
Salzburg is known throughout the world as the city of „The Sound Of Music", birthplace of genius composer W.A. Mozart, stage of the international Salzburg Summer Festivals, and more. This is a wonderful tour for those who want to explore Salzburg, as well as fans of the film "The Sound of Music".
