Discover the rural world of Maria von Trapp
Salzburg is home to both the real Maria von Trapp, as well as the Maria you know from "The Sound of Music". Visiting many of the most wonderful locations in the outskirts of Salzburg, you will know more about this state, and so we will of course come by, and explore, the shooting spots of the film “The Sound Of Music”, where you will enjoy many of the most memorable sceneries: the palaces, Nonnberg Abbey, and three Salzkammergut lakes (Wolfangsee, Fuschlsee and Mondsee with the Wedding Church of Maria and Georg von Trapp)...
You'll get to know more about these regions historical & cultural backgrounds, see the many landmarks, and enjoy the wonderful landscapes of the Salzkammergut lake district. We can also go on foot to Nonnberg Abbey where Maria von Trapp actually served (remember when the children came there to talk to Maria), and where you'll relive some of the memories from the film and find out what it was like.
